ACT was created in 1996 as an organization to benefit both mental health professionals and the public. The principal function of ACT is to assess the competency of clinicians in cognitive therapy and to certify them in cognitive therapy.

The APA is the largest scientific and professional organization representing psychology in the United States focused on advancing the creation, communication and application of psychological knowledge to benefit society and improve people's lives.

ADAA is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the prevention, treatment, and cure of anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and related disorders and to improve the lives of all those who suffer from them through education, practice, and research.

CHADD is a national non-profit organization providing education, advocacy and support for individuals with ADHD.

NAMI is the nation’s largest nonprofit mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI advocates for access to services, treatment, supports and research and committed to raising awareness and build a community for those in need.
